It’s all down to the Angel Police Team who have made it possible for local young people to learn to make and perform with puppets by donating £3,000 towards workshops at the Little Angel Puppet Theatre in Dagmar Passage - which celebrates its 50th birthday this year.

“This unique theatre brings a smile to so many faces, whether watching or getting involved - which also does much for a young person’s confidence. We are delighted to make a contribution,” says Angel team member PC Mark Pywell. The team were asked to nominate a local charity after the Met Police raised money auctioning unclaimed stolen goods.

“This donation means disadvantaged young people get the chance to make puppets and create shows. It does wonders for their social and team building skills - and brings joy,” says theatre general manager Lynette Shanbury, pictured left with a very grateful puppet.
